The Medicine wheel
One of the most Sacred
places within the tribal teachings is that of the Medicine Wheel. The
sacredness of the Medicine Wheel has been likened to that of any church
or mosque. This is the sacred ground where one can connect with the
higher spirits and guides, where one will be protected and safe from
negative energies.
The Medicine Wheel represents many different things for many different
tribes. For some it represents the cycle of birth to death from death
to birth reborn. For others it represents the Mother earth and the cycle
of the seasons, others mother earth and the gift of the four directions
and for others the spiritual connections of the many tribes and where
they dwell on the earthly plane and/or the spiritual plane.
Little Hawk has studied and participated in many different Medicine
Wheel ceremonies, and has found one that resonated with her spirit and
the spirit of the Southern Hemisphere. Her ceremonies can vary depending
on the energy and spirit of the land she is standing on and asking for
permission to set a Medicine Wheel in motion on.
The Medicine Wheel is truly sacred and one must experience the magic
of the medicine wheel for it connects you to the spirit of life, to
the heart spirit of your true self. It is nurturing. It is empowering.
It is where the magic of Mother Earth and Father sky and all whom dwell
within their realms join and dance in harmony and light. Here we connect
with and respect and honour our elders, our spirit guides, the higher
ones and the bliss of being. This is where we pray; this is where we
ask for guidance.
In this moving workshop you will learn of and experience the spirit
of the medicine wheel.
Little Hawk will guide you in setting a medicine wheel and the teachings
of the medicine wheel and the Four directions. The teachings of this
workshop will be the most beneficial teachings one should have before
they begin working with spirit or create any objects that will be blessed
or guided by spirit. It is an integral part of most shaman work and
is an integral part of all of
Little Hawks
workshops
and meditations.
As this 2.5 hour workshop will be held out doors you are advised to
bring a hat or sun block. Written material and refreshments are included
in the workshop price.
