Medicine Wheel workshop, and in the Medicine
drum workshop you will experience the magic of the medicine drum and then
go on to make your very own Medicine Drum, one that is infused with your
true spirit and the blessings of your spirit guides. You will be taught
how to care for your drum and learn of its uses. The Medicine Drum workshop
takes a full day beginning with a cleansing ceremony and closing with
a circle of thanks. All materials for your drum are included in the workshop
price along with a vegetarian lunch and beverages throughout the day.
Little Hawk asks that you bring along a bag to carry your drum home in,
a rug or cushion to sit on (or for those who don’t wish to sit on
the ground for long periods, a fold up chair), a special object, feathers,
crystals or flowers to decorate the central alter with and a photo of
your recipient if you are making the drum as a gift.
As the medicine drum is a tool that will be used with spirit work Little Hawk would like all participants to have knowledge of the medicine wheel or have participated in a Medicine Wheel workshop before they make a Medicine Drum.
