Medicine Drums, made by Little Hawk

If you cannot make it too a Medicine Drum Making workshop, or arrange a group of friends together to get Little Hawk to come and teach you, Little Hawk is only too happy to make one for you.

Little Hawk will make your drum in the sacred way within a Medicine wheel where she has called forth your spirit guides and elders to be present in the creation of you drum.

You choose the type of hide preferred be it Deer, Elk, Kangaroo, Goat and she can sometimes obtain Horse and Buffalo. There are two hoop sizes that of 14" in diameter and 16" in diameter.

All Little Hawk needs from you is your birth date, your full Birth name, a photo of yourself (it will be returned) and anything special you would like your drum decorated with this could be beads, shells, seeds, feathers, bones, a crystal or rock as a centre piece for holding whilst drumming, fur which could be used to make you beater with and even your own hair to stuff you beater with. The more personal the more connected your drum will be to your spirit and your guides.

A 14" single face drum will cost $180.00 plus postage and insurance
A 16" single face drum will cost $200.00 plus postage and insurance

All drums will be delivered C.O.D (including insurance) with a 2 week collection period.

It takes Little Hawk a full day to make a drum and the drum needs to dry and settle for at least five days before it can be posted. Little Hawk also likes to make sacred drums within a favourable moon period especially if the drum is to be used for certain healing methods eg. for the removal of negative energies and dis-ease or for re-energizing, visualization. But then you may also pick your own time for your drum to be created.
